Distress life has changed into delightful life

Dear Ones,

I am joyful to share with you how my tear-filled life has changed into joy. I was from a Hindu family. My husband is working in ICF. I have 2 daughters. My husband was a god fearing man and so every year he used to go to Sabari Malai with 40 days of fasting. However after returning from there, he would start drinking and roam with girls asusual. If I question him about this, he would beat me  and kick me. There was poverty prevailing in our home. But somehow, I managed to bear all these pains just for the sake of my daughters. I had to educate them because my husband did not meet our needs. Family situations pressed me from all sides. I became totally frustrated and started hating my life. At one point of time, I decided to suicide. I left my children at home and started travelling in the bus. As I was travelling, a Christian lady happened to sit next to me reading a Christian book. As I was keenly looking into it, she gave me the book to read. In that, I read the words, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up." As I read these words, I started to cry without my knowledge. On seeing my tears, the lady started telling me about the love of Jesus. She also advised me not to suicide but to accept  Jesus. She also told me that Jesus will bless me and my husband would change soon when I trust Jesus.

Her kind words touched my heart.  I decided not to suicide and went to my mother's home.

With what I knew, I prayed to  Jesus. I believed in Jesus. After 4 days, my husband came to meet me with my children. I thanked Jesus.

My husband didn't like me praying to Jesus. He forced me to worship the Hindu idols. To satisfy him, I did poojas. But secretly I prayed to Jesus. I came to know about a prayer meet organized by Christians near my home and I started attending it. I felt the true joy in my heart and the words spoken there were a great comfort to me. I was invited by them to church for Sunday worship. When I went to Shekinah Assembly, everything was new and wonderful to me. I continued going to church. I kept praying for my husband's redemption. As days passed by, my husband did not stop me from going to church. One day, all of a sudden, he asked me to take him to church. I was surprised at the Lord's working. On that day, God's word through Pastor was very much relevant to my husband's life. He surrendered his life to Jesus. Now he gave up drinking and he is regularly going to his job. Our family is happy now.

 Seeing such a change in my husband's life, two of his friends also accepted Jesus and they are attending the church. Not only his friends, even his parents, brothers and sisters have accepted Christ.

The true light that lightens every man that cometh into this world has lightened my darkened life too. Jesus changed our distressful life into a delightful one.
